Year-Round debris cleanup from property including removal of debris off-site if necessary. We can clean beds, turf areas, paved areas, and forested areas. In Spring this usually happens in conjunction with bed edging/mulching and lawn dethatching. Whether you're getting your lawn ready for the Spring, cleaning up the leaves before the winter, or getting the home ready for a party or sale, we can help with cleanup projects large and small. We also clean gutters!
Typically done during Spring Cleanup. Dethatching a lawn is where a tool called a ‘Power Rake’ goes over your lawn (much like a comb) to pull up all of the old thatch. We then collect the thatch and haul it away. It improves the aesthetic of the turf and also allows nutrients and water to permeate to the soil level much more effectively.
Core Aeration is when we use a big rolling power tool to create perforations, or holes, in the lawn in order to decompact the soil which helps the water and nutrients to permeate through the soil. The cores, or plugs, are redeposited onto the top of the lawn and work as a beneficial top dressing. Aeration is best when paired with overseeding.
Overseeding is the process of applying premium seed and starter fertilizer in the Spring or Summer months. Can be combined with Turf Renovation, Turf Installation, or Aeration.
We offer a 5-step granular fertilizer program starting in Spring with applications every 6 weeks. Includes Crab Grass control in the Spring, Grub Control in the Summer, and Winterization with Lime in November to control pH balance.
We can prune/trim anything from the hedges to a delicate Japanese maple from Springtime to Fall.
Bark mulch and decorative stone are to great ways to add color and definition to a landscape. Bark mulch retains water for the garden plants and improves the soil conditions as it decomposes. After an existing or newly installed bed is cleaned we can provide and install mulch and/or decorative stone.
We have experienced and fearless tree technicians who can bring down just about any tree with confidence. We grind stumps for future development in a variety of situations.

A flagstone / slate patio is a classic and classy way to enhance your patio-to-be. It's hard to beat the natural look of slate or flagstone. Comparable in price to a patio made of other hardscapes like pavers or stamped concrete, flagstone is a great option.
How a patio or terrace will be used in part should dictate your choice of paving material. Flat stones with mortared joints or sand-set brick are preferable for areas close in to the house, entries, and higher traffic areas. Irregular, dry-laid stones, crushed rock or packed decomposed granite are great for garden paths and casual areas. Dining areas or a seating terrace can be on stone, gravel or crushed rock, or wooden decking, depending in part on the furniture.
Also consider color, porosity, and density when choosing material. A light-colored stone or gold crushed rock may brighten a dark area, but could also create glare in an open sunny area, where a darker material might be preferable. Patios or terraces of stone or brick are most ecologically laid in sand, or decomposed granite, to allow natural drainage and airflow to the underlying soil to occur, and prevent runoff.
Pavers are pre-formed concrete tiles made to simulate cobblestone, tile, brick, or even chiseled stone. The use of concrete pavers in both patios and pathways has been gaining in popularity over the years. Historically, the use of clay / brick pavers in landscaping had been more popular. But pavers have evolved and now instead of using brick pavers, interlocking concrete pavers are preferred in modern landscapes. This is due to their increased strength and the wide variety of material and color choices available to us today.
Compared with other hardscapes, pavers have a lot of advantages and few drawbacks. The main advantage to pavers vs. concrete is they do not crack. Even if something like a large tree root raises one area of the pavers, it's simple just to dismantle and repair that one area - no permanent damage occurs. Pavers are also nice in that they are nearly perfectly flat. Depending on the variety you chose, they can be very easy to place furniture on and for kids to play on. Pavers should also be very stable. If, installed properly, pavers actually have more compressive strength than concrete and should never settle, sag or move for as long as you own your home.
At All Landscaping, our paver installers take enough time to do it right so you will be able to enjoy a stable patio for a very long time. Your new paver patio will look great and be built to last.
We have the experience to design and build your custom paver patio that will be the perfect match for your landscape or outdoor living environment.
Pavers also make the best pathways. Compared to other options for pathways (concrete, gravel, flagstone), concrete pavers often make the best choice because of their uniform surface, their custom look, and their reliability.
Segmental retaining walls are walls made of pre-formed concrete blocks. When most people think of these kinds of retaining walls, they envision the basic concrete wall blocks you can get at stores like Home Depot. But in reality, that's just one type of retaining wall block of the hundreds that are available these days. There are a wide variety of wall blocks to choose from.
There are two main reasons you'd chose this variety of retaining wall over a rock wall. First, to create a formal look. If you have a paver patio or other concrete structures in your landscape or just want to have a more contemporary, formal look then this kind of wall can complement the rest of your landscape or home. Second, you'd want to consider a segmental retaining wall if structural integrity is critical. Rock walls can fail or move. But a properly built segmental retaining wall should never fail. So if it's important that the wall never fail because of what it's retaining, then this variety of wall would be the way to go.
The first thing you ought to consider when constructing a segmental retaining wall is construction procedures and base preparation. A wall built quickly and cheaply is probably not a wall that will last. A retaining wall is a functional feature of your landscape that, when constructed well, can be a thing of beauty. However, a poorly built wall will quickly become an eye sore, even if the best materials have been used.
The most expensive retaining wall is the one you have to pay for twice!
At All Landscaping, we believe strongly in doing things right the first time. There are no shortcuts accepted when we construct a wall. We know that base preparation is key to the final product and throughout the building phase, all rules of drainage and engineering will be closely followed. The owner, our project manager, and each of our installers are certified wall builders. We'll make sure your wall gets built to your liking and will last for a long, long time.

Custom rock work can vary from strategic placement of boulders to enhance the texture of the landscape, installing granite curbing, to a relaxing Zen Garden. Whatever the rock project, we are ready to help make your visions a reality. We’ve used a variety of natural and processed stone to create beautiful river-rock beds and colorful stone-based gardens. We use pea stone in our playground areas installations, too!
Sometimes space, environment or budget does not allow for a full on field stone project. Many of our clients find themselves wanting the look of a well-crafted fieldstone wall to decorate an area where stone might not be so obvious, like their mantel or kitchen back-splash.
Stone veneer consists of a mixture of natural and man-made products including quarried stone, pigments, cements, and aggregates. The result is a more-environmentally friendly and economical stone product!
Stone veneer is extremely versatile. Many people consider just using it as exterior home siding, but it can do so many other things. Use stone veneer to cover outdoor tables, bars or low walls that build the boundaries of one’s outdoor living spaces, for example. Use it within, or as a landscaping component.
There are a lot of possibilities with faux stone panels, specifically when you take it into your outdoor space. It looks fantastic, adds texture and color to your home, and increases perceived value and curb appeal.
The secret to an appealing landscape or garden is a great landscape design. We will work with you to come up with a landscape design that meets your vision and fits your budget.
The landscaping design process begins with an initial consultation in which a landscape designer will come to your location and work one-on-one with you to discover your desire and vision, to share ideas and to develop a basic concept of your project. Once the initial consultation is completed and we have established the criteria for fulfilling your needs, our unique, creative development process begins.
A design and preliminary budget is drawn up which outlines the scope, directions and specifications of the project. This is where the elements of the design will be displayed and where an estimate for the features will be presented. Suggestions for materials and plantings will be made at this stage.
After a budget and preliminary design has been decided, we’ll whittle down the parameters of the design and specifications contract and then find a place for you on our work schedule.
Every homeowner, landscape contractor and designer knows that projects change and transform as they are being built. We assure each client a clear line of communication every step of the Design/Build process.
Let us help design the outdoor living space of your dreams!
Is your turf ‘tired’, mossy or weed-ridden? Does it turn into a dust bowl when you try to mow it? Are you starting a landscape from scratch? It may be time to renovate the lawn!
Turf grass is an essential feature to any suburban landscape and we’ve installed countless new lawns. We’ve installed lawns using seed, hydro seed, and sod in existing homes and new developments. We can hand over the keys to a beautiful green lawn and either maintain for you or give you the best advice to keep your lawn healthy and happy.
The best seasons to plant turf grass and sod is Early Spring and Early Fall. The soil temperature, sunlight, and average moisture are perfect at these times.
Water features are one of the best ways to really make your landscape stand out. When done correctly, they enhance both the beauty and the sound of your landscape. We pride ourselves on creating unique, natural looking water features built to last and meant to enjoy.
We install koi ponds, formal ‘serenity fountains,’ and we’ve even turned a messy creek into a beautiful waterway using river rock and native plantings.
Choosing the right plants and trees for your landscape is an important and challenging task. The inclusion of a landscaper or landscape designer in the design and installation of your landscape plants and trees can mean the difference between having a mediocre landscape and a great landscape! Even a small investment can improve and brighten the areas of your landscape that need the most help like around your front foundation, entryways, or the backyard living spaces when renovating the look of a home that you’ll sell or plant live in forever.
Every home and landscape looks better in the right light. Outdoor lighting not only highlights the best aspects of your landscape or garden but also your house and physical structures on your property like your deck, arbor, pool, pergola or gazebo. We can design and install an outdoor lighting system that will illuminate all your property's best features throughout the evening. Why enjoy your home and landscape only during the daytime? Once you've seen how amazing it all can look when it's been illuminated properly, you'll see your living space in a whole new light!
The solutions to drainage issues can be complex. Sometimes the solution is re-grading. Other times the solution involves soil amendments. But often, the solution is an installation of a French drain or a series of French drains around key areas of your landscape.
If the French drain is placed underneath your lawn, we will encapsulate the drain in a landscape fabric and then replace some of the soil and sod on top. If the French drain is outside of your lawn, you will see what looks like a 6-8" wide river bed on top. This is both decorative as well as functional. Surface water goes straight through the river rock down to the pipe below and is carried away to the water outlet.
Over the years, we have developed a great deal of experience coming up with solutions to handle unique drainage challenges. When you hire us, you'll get a solution that works.
We have the machinery and expertise to do the heavy lifting for any landscape terraforming project.
We can create berms and swales for drainage; grade and level existing lawns to make a non-usable area usable; and we can excavate for any number of reasons.
Often times our clients will simply need to move their resources like logs, wood chips, soil or wood chips to another place on their property.
